The World is Hers!

Sto cercando una stampa da appendere in camera di Soph, che rappresenti il mondo, ma un bel mondo. Colorato, illustrato e chiaro. Non voglio il tipico poster verde blu e giallo... qualche idea su dove trovarlo?
La cosa piu' vicina a quello che ho in mente l'ho vista su Catbirdnyc. E' molto bella, e sono tentata di prenderla, ma mi domando se posso trovare ancora meglio!

I'm looking for a print to hang in Sophie's room, representing the world, but a beautiful world. Colorful, illustrated and clear. I do not want the typical blue-green and yellow poster ...  any ideas on where to find it? 
The closest one to what I want, is on Catbirdnyc. It 's very nice, and I'm tempted to take it, but I wonder if I can find a better one!

It's all about proportions

Finally another baby post! Fall is here and it is time to buy winter clothes for the babies! I came across this picture  today (see below) and it is useless to say that SJ Parker's daughter can't look either way then stylish!

Let's see.. do you like the print tunic? Guess what, the price is $125 (from Bonpoint Boutique)! Honestly, can you spend that much for a tunic she will wear just for a couple of months? In the beginning i thought it was crazy.. but then, isn't it like me going to H&M or GAP and paying $15 for it?
Probably yes.. probably it is all a matter of proportions.. what do you think? You do spend $125 for a top for your baby if you could? By the way, they look really good!

The Nursery Part 1

Come molti di voi sapranno, ci siamo trasferiti in un altro appartamento, in modo di dare a Sophie il suo spazio (e noi riprenderci il nostro!). Piano piano (non e' sempre facile trovare tempo con una bambina di 13 mesi che corre per casa) cercando di trasformare l'office in una accogliente nursery.Il primo passo è pitturare le pareti ... Una nursery con pareti bianche e senza finestre, non è molto attraente ... Ci hanno chiesto $300 per fare il lavoro. Lo abbiamo fatto da soli per meno di $100.Abbiamo provato molti campioni (rosa chiaro, rosa troppo chiaro, giallo, giallo troppo giallo, pesca, troppo pesca ...) e alla fine abbiamo optato per questo giallo. Primo passo fatto. Ora, abbiamo bisogno di pulire la stanza, decorare, e trasferirla nella camera nuova!

As you may know, we moved to another apartment in order to give Sophie her own space (and get back ours!). We are, little by little, since it isn't always easy to find some free time with a 13 months old baby running around, trying to fix the office and turn it into a cozy nursery.
The first step is painting the walls... A nursery with white plain walls and no windows is not very appealing... They asked us for $300 to do the job. We did it for less then $100.
We tried many samples (light pink, too light pink, yellow, too bright yellow, peach, too peachy...) and ended up with this one yellow. First step done. Now, we need to clean up the room, start decorating, and move her in!

Con l'arrivo della primavera, arriva la nuova collezione di Stella McCartney per Gap Kids e Baby! Un po' cara.. ma se avete dei soldi da spendere alcune cose sono sfiziose! Per quanto mi riguarda, aspettero' i saldi, ho gia' addocchiato un paio di cosine!

Personally, I'll wait for the sales (which in my opinion will arrive pretty soon), because i've already seen a couple of things i want!

E per di piu' dal 18 al 24 marzo qualsiasi acquisto avra' lo sconto del 30% del quale 5% verra' donato ad una fondazione a scelta del consumatore! Dobbiamo trovare un'altra scusa per fare shopping?!?

Chi ha detto che anche i passeggini non possono essere griffati?

No niente di superfirmato come Gucci o LV, ma Bugaboo come ogni anni ha fatto una collaborazione con un designer, e per il 2009 e' stato scelto Paul Frank! E ovviamente non me lo potevo far scappare!!! (Ne' il bugaboo e ne' l'accessorio fashion!!!!)

Questo fine settimana dovrei andare a ritirare il mio Bugaboo Frog rosso fiammante. La copertina di Paul Frank gia' e' a casa..!



Per quelli che non conosco i passeggini Bugaboo, date uno sguardo al sito, sono super pratici, comodi e coloratissimi! Con il modello Cameleon potrete anche personalizzarlo completamente e fare una combinazione che rispecchia la vostra personalita! Ovviamente poi con solo 30 dollari potete anche cambiare ulteriormente il canopy (per averne uno di ricambio in caso vi stufiate della vostra prima scelta!)
